It is 2008, and it's the year of a very close race for the nomination of the next President of the United States. You would think that the American nation would rise to the occasion and celebrate joyfully as we find out who our next great Leader will be. Will it be Obama? or will it be McCain? Whoever it could be, that person will have to face the struggles of our American people today.

With job losses continuing to rise, there doesn't seem to be an end to the financial crises that our country seems to be facing. Millions of homes are set to be foreclosed and there is no telling when the market will turn around. The extreme highs and lows of the stock market has the world on their tiptoes each day wondering if the thought of retirement is slipping away from them.

The lower middle income class is seeing one of the biggest changes in lives with all these troubles. These are the families and people who live paycheck to paycheck, and cannot afford to keep up with any type of inflation costs to their budgets. This also makes up about 70-80 percent of our country. Yet, there doesn't seem to be any sign of relief for years ahead. It will take awhile for our country to get out of debt.

All in all, the mixture of inflation, job losses, economic strife, and the sign of a struggling America, there is still one business that seems to be on the rise; That is of the home based business industry.

With the lack of trust in corporate America to have job security, the signs of imminent foreclosures looming ahead, the high gas prices, the increase in food costs, and the have to be able to do something about it all, Americans today are counting upon themselves to find a way out and not wait for one of our future leaders to take oath in office. People are stepping up to the challenge, and coming out of their fears into a world where people work for themselves, and are able to live through these rough times because they don't have anyone to rely on but themselves.

In science, when studying behavioral psychology, it's known that the human species will instinctively fight for survival when put in the most extreme situations from starvation, to underwater survival. it's believed in a sense that America is heading in that extreme survival situation, and people are instinctively attempting to find a way out; thus the rise in home based businesses.

What many don't comprehend though, is that working from home doesn't necessarily make life any easier, particularly in the beginning. There is a lot of work involved. I mean I know! i'm in one! People have to realize that they're starting BUSINESS! Just like any other business like a restaurant and banks, they have to be planned accordingly.

This article was written to enlighten those that may be in the situation where they're looking for a change in their lives, and are willing to work at something for a better future.

One key, I must add in any home based internet business, is you must have a positive mentor that will guide you through the ups and downs and the ins and outs. The best way to learn is to be able to duplicate the works of others who are already successful! This is coming from someone who learned the hard way, and thought he could do everything on his own.

My goal in the next few years is to be that positive mentor for others around me who are in the same situation now as I used to be. I want to guide you out of the fears the rest of America is fearing right now. But it's up to you to decide when you want this change to happen, and how much work you're willing to put into your own investment. Your investment will never be what money you put it, it's always the work behind it!

I hope this article has enlightened some to think about their futures, and to know that there are people out there who are willing to help you change the way you think about things. Find a great mentor in life for anything that you want to do. Find an expert in the field you want to work towards, whether it be medicine, internet marketing, or even floral arrangements. Remember, the best way to learn is through the power of duplication over and over again!
