If you've got a site business undoubtedly you're marketing it online using article marketing, social networking sites, forums and blogs etc but do you carry out free advertising offline as well? No, it's not global I know, but you can advertise in places offline which will benefit your business online.

Ok, i'm no marketing guru and don't pretend to be but i've had success marketing offline in addition to online. Let me say here that common sense needs to prevail and so of course it goes without saying that online marketing is always going to be far more effective than offline even though this method should not, in my opinion be omitted from your business completely.

In most local newspapers they've a sales section and in a lot of those you can place a lineage ad free of charge - maybe four or five lines and sometimes, as is the case in my local paper, they'll publish the ad in their sister newspapers also. Admittedly some papers will not everyow ads with site addresses but some will so give it a try.

Even though working from home is just that, some folk who are making money online have small cards made up and go out for a few hours a week placing these card ads on cars in car parks. It's not hard work and it gets your site name out there. Some supermarkets allow you to place an ad on their public boards which are specifically for advertising - pop an attractive ad with your site address in four or five supermarkets.

Put your website business in the local rag mag, you know the small ordinary paper booklets that sometimes get posted through your door. You may have to pay a very small amount for the priviledge but it's another avenue to get yourself known.

I know this will not suit every site business for various reasons but they're worth a try in your local area. Go on give it a try and see what happens. You may be pleasantly surprised.
